This week I met with individuals that got into legal problems because they simply did not read the contract they signed.
This reminded me of Kurt Warner.
Kurt was the Quarterback (QB) for the Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League (AFL) before he went on to play in the National Football League (NFL).
While playing for the Barnstormers, Kurt was not aware that the team would pay him $100.00 for every touchdown pass he threw. Why did Kurt not know this? Because he never read the contract that he signed with the team. By the way, Kurt’s touchdown production significantly increased upon finding out about this perk. Also, the St. Louis Rams of the NFL offered Kurt an opportunity to tryout where he later went on to being named the winning QB and MVP of Super Bowl XXXIV.
